Angling in Himachal Pradesh:
Himachal Pradesh offers some of the finest river angling in the world. With experienced guides who know the best places to go we can spend time angling for the Brown, the Iron Head and the Rainbow Trout which are found South of Manali in the Beas, Sainj and Tirthan rivers.
Longer trips can continue South West to the Maharana Pratap Sagar (Pong Dam Wetland) and the Bhakra Nangal Dam where Mahasheer are found.
Day trips are possible from Manali but will involve leaving early in the morning. Overnight trips are ideal as they allow you to reach more remote rivers and start angling earlier in the day when the fish are most active.
Angling is a serious sport and we welcome responsible anglers. There will be a fair amount of trekking to reach the best sites which may involve walking along difficult paths. Good footwear and warm clothes arerecommended.
For overnight trips accommodation will either be provided in guest houses or in tents near the river. Either way all meals will be included and where possible we will cook and eat the catch of the day. Day trips will only include a packed lunch.
Transport will be provided in modern jeeps. All angling tackle and all camping equipment is included, but if you have your own you are welcome to use it. The government angling permit is also included in the price.
Angling trips are Rs. 2500/- per person per day (for groups of two or more people).
It is possible to combine angling trips with jeep safari, trekking or other sightseeing itineraries.
Lost or damaged equipment will have to be paid for.
